What a great fishery , with alot of practice I found some good fish on an once white spinnerbait. I found them down south in the weed beds with a four pound average I felt good about my chances. On the first day just as I start fishing my first spot the turning cables broke in my trolling motor, instead of quiting and going 40 miles back to the ramp I stayed and used my net handle to turn the trolling motor what a pain. I managed to put three good fish in the boat with 10lbs. 

Well this was The Washington Pa Bassmasters last two tournaments and I went in with a 3 point lead in angler of the year standings and came out behind. The fishing was good but not good enough for me da one 5th day two 3rd the guy 3points behind won both days, congrats Chuck.

 The picture shows my results at the Upper Cessapeake at the divisional it was horrible for me with two weeks of practice I just couldnt get the bites that everyone else seemed to be getting. During the tournament I lost or boke off quite a lot of fish and only caught little fish to weigh in. I was doing what all my competitors were duing just with different results. iIn practice I was able to meet a coulple of great local fishermen Chris Huffman and Marcus Griiffen and get alot of local knowledge of the water and tide system but that still didnt help me, sometimes it just doesnt go your way and that was the whole practice and tournament for me. Thank you very much to Chris and Marcus for all your help but most of all for the friendship that was formed that we will have for years to come. I was able to weigh 1 fish day one two fish day two and three fish day three with a total weght of just a little over 8 lbs.

 Another great day on the water, the first time on this body of water I was able to pull out a win. The weather was cool, windy and some rain and a huge cold front pushin threw. With my busy schedule I was unable to pre fish and was some what worried about my finish as this would be my first trip to this lake. Started off throwing a crank bait and spinner bait was able to catch two small keepers,

How lucky am I, I will be heading back to ST. Clair lake with my Feanc`e and anther couple for Labor Day weekend to do a little fun fishing. Cant wait to get there that is the best fishery I have ever been to. Hopefully the weather will not unload on us and we get in some good fishing, wish us luck. 

What can I say Lake Erie is an awsome fishery, my first time on that end of the lake with only one day for practice I found some good 5+ pounders in Canada but couldn't find those on tourny day. I was able to take my Fianc`e Shawna along with me and let me tell ya she just played the drums all day cast after cast catching drum after drum we finally found a school of smallies at about noon and put a limit in the boat in about 15mins. Great day on the water with my sweetie and we ended up finishing in 4th, not to bad for my first time on that end. Thanks for going with me Babe It was nice to spend some quality time with you while you were on your break from school, I love you and I am very proud of you keep up the good work just a few months to go.
