Cayuga Lake

Nice lake had a good practice with multiple days of 12-15lbs but as the story goes tournament day the seem to be in another location was able to catch three on the first day for 4.14lbs way out of the top 40 money spot the second day with a complete game change was still only able to catch two fish. Nowing iI was twenty miles from a check I opted to not weigh my fish and get an early start to Sandusky Ohio. Thank you to B.A.S.S. and my fellow competitors for an awsome trail this season.

Had an awsome time at Lake Erie with high winds and water was able to dropshot almost 18lbs and a win. My partner had second and a huge case of sea sickness, had to take him back to calm water for an hour and then go back out and finish my day.

Shenango Lake

The tournament was very wet and got to see alot of action but the action was from above in the form of thunder and lighting and not to much action from the fish was able to boat one keeper and alot of short ones. Was catching them on a crankbait and a wacky senco but just couldn't get those 15 incers to bite.

Detroit River/Lake St. Clair

WOW!!!! what an awsome fishery Lake St.Clair is, my favorite place to fish smallmouth was Lake Erie but now it is Lake St. Clair. With every cast a three pounder appears and let me tell you these fish just dont give up even in the net you grab them by the lip and they would clamp down on your thumb and begin thrashing again. Had a good three days of practice and located big fish in multiple locations tournament starts and a monsoon hit with high winds and made it hard to stay on any spot but managed to weigh just over 18lbs day two rain stops and wind gets harder was not able to duplicate the weight and ended the tournament with 35.02lbs and in 32nd place wich was good enough for a nice check not bad for my first time on this body of water.

Indian Lake

Had a great day on Indian Lake in Ohio last week, had two days of practice with no luck only three keepers so I changed my whole game plan and went with a tiny buzzbait and crushed fish all day long best five going 10.15lbs and good enough for a 5th place finish. That bait seemed to be the ticket along with a black and blue jig in wich I boated 2 keepers with but the buzzbait caught alot more fish.

St. Joe Boat Club Open

Had a great day on the Ohio River, caught alot of keeper fish with my best five going over 15lbs had two over 4 one at 3lbs and two around 2lbs. I locked down river to a creek and ran all the way up to the rapids and just wacked a lot of smallies sitting in the swift cerrents on a 5.8" flick shake texas rigged with a 1/16oz weight. Those fish would wait for it to stop and then pounce on it, such a fun day. The plan was to all meet back at the lock at 1:45 to be back at the scales by 3:00 so I got back to the lock at 1:30 and didn"t get into the lock until 3:00 so I was DQ'ed for not making it to the 3:00 check in got back at 3:25. There was a medical emergancy at the lock I found out later that the lock master had a heart attack. The worst part of all that was the winning weight was 12lbs with a lunker of 3lbs. So I lost out of the check for first place and a check for lunker. The chances we take as anglers that sometimes don't work out.

Northern Open James River

The James River was one of the best places I have seen to catch fish but add the fact that is a tidal water system and just like that it becomes a very hard place to catch them. I have fished in tidal waters before and I still have so much to learn before being good or competitive on these waters. I learned alot but not enough to compete I was able to catch one fish each day and finish in 125th so I guess that is better than last place.
