Took 4th place at the river tough day lost a few good ones on a pop r first thing in the morning ended up with only 4 fish with one more fish could of had a better finish but just couldn't get that last bite. Found that they wanted a wackey senco later in the day but they were scattered and hard to find. Good points day.

Summersville

The beautiful Summersville Lake, had a tough tourny only weighed tree fish for two days but did finish third over all and lunker both days first day one fish that weighed 1.23lbs and day two two fish 2+lbs and a lunker at 1.4lbs. Fished a dropshot allday both days and couldn't get alot of action. Lots of pleasure traffic as it was the holiday weeekend witch made fishing a little bit harder as the wake would just bounce off the cliff walls and back at you again. That is one of the most beautiful lakes I've been too with crystal clear deep water with large bolders and cliffs.

Buckeye Lake

Had a good tournament on Buckeye Lake in Ohio, finised 21st but for never fishing this body of water befor I think i did ok out of 60+ boats as teams and me fishing this trail with no partner. I went out on Thursday to get in some practice and found that they wanted a black and blue jig with a black with blue flec chigger craw but it had to be swimming in front of the pads and grass. Then found that a black and blue spinner bait with the same chigger craw on the trailer hook did the trick as well. But tournanent day as the cold front moved through they bit a crank bait and a still jig. So all in all it wasn't a bad day although a check would have been nice but fell just a little short weighed 8.5lbs and the cut was around 9.5lbs. I want to thank my friends Scott and Terri Clark for having my Fiance ( Shawna ) and I as guests in their home for the tournament, good friends are hard to find and you both are good friends so thank you both for your hospitality.

Pymatuning

What a differance a day makes from the gloom of Grand Lake yesturday to the wonderful waters of Pymatuning. The day started slow with a few shorts and by noon I only had three keepers in the box, but changed spots and went to a wacky hooked 4" greenpumpkin senco and wacked the crap out of them ended up catching at least 4 limits with upgrades about every fish what a day and ended up winning the tournament with 10.8lbs great day.

Grand Lake

Grand Lake not so grand to me thats for sure fished all day with not one bass bite at all. I landed a big catfish and a bid drum and that was it. Hope I never go there again the last two times there was a blank for me. I was in the right places and throwing the right baits but still no bites.

Sutton Lake

What a beautiful lake crystal clear and deep, some fish were on beds but I myself didn't locate any of those but found in the backs of the coves where the water was shallow and coverd with matted debris the fish held up under those so I would troll through them and pick the fish off with a flick shake worm, but couldn't get the bigger ones to bite. Caught alot of short fish and only one keeper but ended up fifth over all so it wasn't to bad atleast I was able to earn some good points.

New sponsor

I would like to welcome Fish Guardian as my new est sponsor.
Fish Guardian makes a system that injects live release directly into your livewell with the push of a button on your dash or where ever you would happen to install it.
I installed mine in about 45 minutes and it was simple to install anyone can do it the hardest part was fishing the wire to the dash but with a snake its simple.
This is a great invention to the tournament angler or a charter service keeping live bait alive no more mess or waisting time adding stay alive just fill the tank with what you use and you are done. When you fill your livewell just push the button for 3-5 seconds and your done stay alive has just been injected to your livewell. Nice invention works great. Welcome aboard and thank you for choosing me as your partner.

Career day

Posted by jim on April 23, 2012

Some exciting news for me came this week, I was approched by a local middle school to be a guest speaker at career day. I had met a few young anglers at the sportsman show earlier this year and they had told me that they had a fishing club in thier school and had over fifty members. I thought that was great to have a school here in the northeast with a bass club and told them if there was anything I could do to help them out to get a hold of me but never thought it would turn into this how exciting this will be for me. With the help of some of my sponsors DeathShimmer and Case Plastics I hope to make this a memorable day for all. Thank You to my sponsors for the help with the youth programs.
